Xiaomeng Xiong, M.A.
Graduate Assistant
Xiaomeng Xiong is a Graduate Assistant at the Anita Zucker Center for Excellence in Early Childhood Studies, where she conducts data analysis for the Sunshine State Early Childhood Information Portal (The Sunshine Portal), supporting research and policy efforts to enhance early childhood systems across Florida.
Xiaomeng is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Research and Evaluation Methodology (REM) at the University of Florida, along with a concurrent master’s degree in computer science. Her research explores how artificial intelligence can be integrated with measurement theory to develop valid, explainable, and data-driven assessment systems in education.
Prior to her role at the Anita Zucker Center, Xiaomeng served as an instructor in the College of Education, teaching undergraduate courses in foundational qualitative and quantitative research methodology. She also worked as a Graduate Assistant in the College of Medicine’s Department of Health Outcomes & Biomedical Informatics (HOBI), supporting evaluation studies for Texas Medicaid and CHIP programs, and completed an externship with Pasco County Schools, applying causal inference methods to education policy analysis.
As a Graduate Assistant, Xiaomeng focuses on transforming large-scale administrative data into actionable evidence that supports early childhood policy improvement and informed decision-making.
