Whitney Dotson, MPA

Whitney Dotson joined the Anita Zucker Center for Excellence in Early Childhood Studies (AZCEECS) as the Assistant Director of Administrative Services in 2024. She has been employed by the University of Florida for six years, working in administrative roles at the College of Journalism and Communications and the College of Veterinary Medicine. At AZCEECS, Whitney serves as part of the Center’s leadership team. Her role includes overseeing AZCEECS operations, which include pre- and post-award activities, financial operations and human resources functions, strategic guidance and support to the Center directors, and event planning and management. 

Whitney earned a bachelor’s degree in Office Administration and Technology and a master’s degree in Public Administration, both from Valdosta State University. She is pursuing her doctorate in Higher Education Administration & Policy at the UF College of Education. Her research interests include higher education, leadership and governance, and finance. Whitney is delighted to be part of an innovative team dedicated to supporting young children, families, and the practitioners who support them.
