Dr. Mackenzie Martin is a Postdoctoral Associate for the Center. Her research interests relate to the application, integration, and implementation of evidence-based interventions into authentic contexts and environments, as well as the application of principles and practices from the sciences of Human Behavior to Early Intervention and Early Childhood Special Education.

Dr. Martin completed her doctoral program at the Anita Zucker Center for Excellence in Early Childhood Studies under the mentorship of Dr. Patricia Snyder. Her major area of study was Special Education with a minor in Early Childhood Studies. Her dissertation was titled Coaches’ Self-Monitoring and Self-Evaluation of Practice-Based Coaching.

As a doctoral student, Dr. Martin was involved in an efficacy and replication project funded by the Institute of Education Sciences that focused on professional development supporting preschool teachers to implement evidence-based practices in inclusive preschool settings. She was the data manager for the Florida Early Steps Professional Development (FL-ESPD) project while also facilitating the professional development experience and providing ongoing fidelity support for coaches using Practice-Based Coaching statewide.
