Mackenzie Miller
Graduate Student Research Affiliate
Mackenzie began working with the Anita Zucker Center for Excellence in Early Childhood Studies in 2025 as a graduate student research affiliate, supporting Embedded Instruction for Early Learning and the Florida Embedded Practices and Intervention with Caregivers (FL-EPIC) project under the guidance of Dr. Crystal Bishop. Her main responsibilities include data collection and video-based observation and scoring, contributing to studies that strengthen connections between families, educators and young children’s learning experiences.
Mackenzie is pursuing a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood at the University of Florida through the Early Childhood Practitioner Leader track. Her academic interests include social-emotional learning, nature-based education and infant and early childhood mental health, particularly as they relate to supporting children’s emotional well-being and development in early learning environments.
