Casey began working with the Anita Zucker Center for Excellence in Early Childhood Studies in 2022 as an undergraduate student research affiliate. Since graduating, she has transitioned to Center staff, supporting the Florida Embedded Practices and Intervention with Caregivers (FL-EPIC) project under the guidance of Dr. Crystal Bishop. Her main responsibilities include observational coding of FL-EPIC Spanish home visit videos, as well as transcription and translation.

In 2025, Casey earned a Bachelor of Psychology and Bachelor of Criminology, from the University of Florida. She is currently pursuing a combined master’s and educational specialist degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her academic interests include promoting healthy developmental and mental health outcomes in early childhood, particularly as they relate to providing trauma-informed and neurodivergent affirming care.

Casey is excited to be part of a team that is passionate about promoting positive developmental outcomes in early childhood and looks forward to contributing to a project that will empower providers across the state.
