Katie White, M.A.E.
Research Coordinator II
Anita Zucker Center for Excellence in Early Childhood Studies
Biography
Katie White joined the Anita Zucker Center in 2022 as a research coordinator. Her work at the center focuses on Practice-Based Coaching, Embedded Instruction for Early Learning, and Florida Embedded Practices and Intervention with Caregivers. She comes to the center from the Early Learning Coalition of Alachua County, where she served as the quality initiatives and professional development manager. She was the lead implementation coach on the Transformative Professional Development project and played a key role in implementing Practice-Based Coaching and Pyramid Model practices in early education and care centers in Alachua County. Katie enjoys supporting early childhood practitioners, administrators and coaches in using evidence-based practices to promote positive outcomes for children from birth to age 5 and their families.
Her enthusiasm for early childhood education was sparked during her six-year tenure at UF’s Baby Gator Child Development and Research Center, first as a teacher and later in an administrative role, working with volunteers, teachers and the community to ensure safe and stimulating learning environments for children. She serves as a board member of the North Central Florida Chapter of the Florida Association for the Education of Young Children and enjoys community outreach that connects educational science with practical implementation. Katie is inspired by the wealth of knowledge and love of children the Anita Zucker Center offers and is excited to be part of the team.
