Biography

Katie White joined the Anita Zucker Center in 2022 as a Research Coordinator. Her work at the Center focuses on Practice-Based Coaching, Embedded Instruction for Early Learning, and Florida Embedded Practices and Intervention with Caregivers. Katie comes to the Center from the Early Learning Coalition of Alachua County as the Quality Initiatives and Professional Development Manager. She served as the Lead Implementation Coach on the Transformative Professional Development project and was instrumental in spearheading the implementation of Practice-Based Coaching and Pyramid Model practices in early education and care centers in Alachua County. Katie enjoys supporting early childhood practitioners, administrators, and coaches to implement evidence-based practices to promote positive outcomes for children birth to age five and their families.  

Katie’s enthusiasm for early childhood education was ignited during her six-year tenure at UF’s Baby Gator Child Development and Research Center, first as a teacher then in an administrative role working with volunteers, teachers, and the community to ensure safe and stimulating learning environments for children. She serves as a board member of the North Central Florida Chapter of Florida Association for the Education for Young Children (FLAEYC) and enjoys community outreach to marry educational science with practical implementation. Katie is fascinated by the wealth of knowledge and love of children the Anita Zucker Center offers and excited to be a part of the team.
